Well, we finally made it out for a weekend. We went to the Come By Chance Resort to celebrate my friends baby's 1st birthday. When all was said and done we ended up not spending much time with the birtday girl as Zacchaeus and Davidson kept us all quite busy. We spent hours in the outdoor pool and hours casting lines into the lake. Adam had gone down on Friday night, by himself to cast a line off the dock, and low and behold came back with an 11" perch. We had great weather, hot and a nice breeze to make it not feel so hot. The pool was great and the company was great. Donald and Tyler came out to spend the day, they took David and Davidson out boating and then joined us in the pool and for lunch and dinner.
Lunch time was a great feast of perch, the one Adam caught and then more that was given to us by "Papa G". Donald was impressed by the "spread' but it was just our usual, sundried tomatoe chicken, bratwurst sausage, chicken-herb rice, corn on the cob, ceasar salad, and cucs and carrots. It was great, and despite the fact that David had killed the coffee pot, i managed to brew a pot of coffee for after dinner. It was a great camp weekend, hopefully we'll do it again soon.
