Music for the soul

In honour of Whitney...Rest in Peace.

This is a song that used to play everymorning when I worked at Chapters...it was a happy place to be, I loved my job there, if only 5 days of work there wasnt equivalent to one day of my other job...then happiness would prevail...alas, it doesnt pay the bills or feed hungry mouths.

So I think it makes more sense to add new songs to the top..so from this post forward that is what I'll do, so you don't have to scroll down and down and down..lol.

This is inspired by the Glee cast, when they did Imagine with sign language...it brings tears and goosebumps when I watch this, i think I'd like to teach students to present this!

I will try to share some of the music I have been listening to lately. I was inspired by my daughter and have been wonderfully surprised at the music she listens to and plays on the piano! Apparently my musical talent has been passed along to at least one of my children.

A hauntingly beautiful song.

One of my favourites, since my first days in Concert Band in highschool

Find a quiet spot, a cup of tea and sit and relax for the next 6 minutes of your life.

I was introduced to Enya when I lived in Terrace Bay.  Her music helps me find my Zen place! Enjoy!

Josh Groban...with a voice that is undescribable...You Raise Me Up...the perfect song for when its quiet, the sun is shining, its kind of like a little prayer..enjoy.

Tomorrow night I will be sitting in the 3rd row at The Rankin Family Reunion show.  I am excited to go and see them once again.  This will be my 3rd time seeing them, how lucky am I?

Seize the Day

From the film "Once", this is an amazing song...Michaela had found the movie over in England, she has been singing and playing this song for a while, and then found the film!  It is an amazing song..enjoy, find the film and watch it too, you will not be dissappointed!

Sunday, time to worship...

I have two songs today....one is just a good song..very upbeat...goes with today's Happiness Project...about Feeling Good...lol, the other, if I find it is a song I came across in a Girl Guide Song book, but is one I used to sing over and over with my best friend on our busride home in elementary school.  Her and I learned all the words by rewinding and listening to the phrases time and time again for hours...good times.
